Boarding at Townsend’s Training Farm, Inc.
Welcome to Townsend's Training Farm boarding facility. We pride ourselves on the personal care we give both our equine and non-equine clients. Our family of boarders and their horses continues to grow, and several have been with us now for over twenty years. We would like to invite you to join our family and become part of our large group of satisfied owners and horses.
Our boarding facility includes 50+ stalls, and we place a high emphasis on the cleanliness of our barn and the excellent maintenance of our farm. Our board charge includes a precise feeding schedule providing horses with top quality grain and hay. We completely strip and 're-bed' stalls every day with continuous stall inspections performed regularly throughout the day, including "picking" each stall as needed. We ensure fresh water is available at all times, and that each horse is comfortable and relaxed. Daily turnout is included in your board with blanketing and grooming as seasons require.
Farm amenities include:
- Heated washroom, three tackrooms, individually lighted stalls
- One full sized indoor arena (with heated viewing area), one full sized outdoor arena, one outdoor training arena, and one outdoor round pen
- Access to unlimited trails
Additional services include:
- Scheduled worming of all horses by T.T.F. every eight to ten weeks
- Scheduled veterinarian visits (monthly or as needed)
- Scheduled dental visits twice yearly
- Availability of two qualified farriers
- The feeding of individual supplements (as provided by owners or available for purchase from T.T.F.)
- Stalls equipped to hold "Q-Misters" (which are available for purchase from T.T.F.)
The care and well-being of each horse is personally overseen by the Townsend family and staff. We would welcome you to stop in and visit our farm, we are open daily Tuesday through Sunday.
Sale Horse Consignment Program
This program is designed for the horse that is for sale, whose owner may not have the resources, time, space, facility or knowledge to properly market their horse.
We decided to implement this program after hearing and seeing the frustration of many sellers, as well as buyers. It is our goal to bring buyers and sellers together in an honest manner that meets the needs of both parties. With this program it is our intention to use our reputation of trust with buyers, to offer an honest representation of the horses we have for sale. We know they will be confident that the horses we advertise have been evaluated and are suitable for their needs. For this reason we will not accept horses with dangerous vices or serious health or lameness issues.
Horses accepted should be suitable for regional or local open shows, all purpose family, children, trail, english or western mounts.
We will prepare the horse to be presented to any buyer.

Training at Townsend's Training Farm, Inc.
At this time we are not accepting outside horses for training. Our training is primarily focused on our clients and horses that are in our boarding and lesson program.
Lessons at Townsend's Training Farm, Inc.
The Townsend's Training Farm lesson program was incorporated into the business in 1972. The focus of the program is to give students the knowledge and ability to compete at any level they desire and feel confident in those abilities. We have third generation students whose grandparents started with us and are now competing themselves.
Townsend's Training Farm lesson program is customized to fit each students needs. Our experience allows us to accommodate each individual riders level and we consider our non show students equally as important to our students who compete.
We take great pride in challenging students abilities so that they strive for perfection and continue to make Townsend's Training Farm proud of all of there accomplishments.
